Is it Right for Me?

___The collaborative law process is not for everyone. There has to be a willingness of both parties to work on a cooperative basis and establish a certain level of trust. Some family law cases may be too contentious for this process to work. If you feel it
may be right for you, you should discuss it with a lawyer who is knowledgeable about the collaborative law process.

___The collaborative law process does not dispense with representation by an attorney. Your attorney is still your advocate, but the framework the parties operate within is different from the traditional adversarial model.

___We recommend the team approach, which involves the use of a mental health professional as a coach-facilitator and a neutral financial professional.
